Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are now single ― but not yet divorced
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s relationship is nearing its grand finale.
The film stars are now considered legally single before they officially divorce after submitting a judgment Friday, The Blast reported.
The “Oceans Eleven” and “Tomb Raider” stars separated in September 2016 following two years of marriage and more than a decade together overall. Jolie then filed for divorce five days later.
But divorce proceedings for the actors ― who have six kids together ― have been drawn out. The stars reached a custody agreement last November, resolving a legal battle that at times grew contentious.
Their six kids range in age from 10 to 17.
Their new arrangement ― which comes through a legal process known as burification ― makes it possible for Pitt and Jolie to continue discussing a settlement while their marriage is effectively over.
Pitt, 55, and Jolie, 43, pursued this option because they wanted to “get on with their lives,” a source told The Blast.
